day 5

april fools
but no one to fool. :(

had the japanese placement test in the morning to determine our japanese level so that the school knows what level to put us in for the jap classes.
the lowest level is called "survival japanese". cool.

the test was okay la, some part i understand some part i totally dunno what i am reading.
but i guess it is supposed to be like that.

after the test we had to go to the city hall for some alien resident registration so that if police catch us we don't go to jail.
the wait there was sooooooooo long. and nothing to do also.
but the best thing about this day was that the sun.
THE SUN CAME OUT.

when i woke up it was actually WARM.
i briefly checked the weather forecast the night before and indeed it was forecasted that this would be one of those rare days when the sun could actually be seen.

so in the spirit of carpe diem,
i washed my clothes!

washed and hung out to dry for $1.30.
i wasn't sure if they would dry in time but when i finally came back, they were dry enough so i was happy about that.

the true highlight of this day was my adventure NUMBER 2.
after the city hall thing we all went back to campus and that was around 3.40.

so since the weather was good and i had time, i decided to explore the school!
my main objective was to find the soccer field. apart from that everything else was just sight seeing.
didn't take me too long to find it though. haha. it's synthetic grass and there were some ppl practicing their baseball pitching there.

the soccer field. very big.

after that i continued to just walk around the school and see what nice things they have there.
i plan to go jogging here since the weather and place can be so pleasant so i figured i should start checking out possible routes. with this in mind i tried to make my way back to the dorm using as different a route as possible.

a nice row of cherry blossom trees somewhere in school

eventually i got back and that was more or less it for the day.
